Modernism in architecture and urbanism has a wide territory. Although, criticizing the “modernism” started decades ago, another running of thought has been challenging and replacing it at the same time: post-modernism. The origin of this view is rooted in recent philosophic as well as scientific developments. Therefore, post-modernism is not only a method of criticism, it opens a new horizon in front of the ones who explores the world after modernism. In this essay, modernism and post - modernism world views have been compared and the impact of each one upon theoretical and practical basis has been considered. Eventually, we have to pass the modernism and enter the era of the post-modernism. From now on Architecture and Urbanism's development depends on their explaining and securitizing in this new movement.

Two different attitudes about conservation of cultural heritage were presented. Ruskinians with romantic sense of view positioned against Viollet Le Duc’s rationalistic solutions. “Preservation” has been established only by Ruskin’s followers in opposite with any kind of intervention degree of conservation into historic and cultural fabric of heritage buildings. Unlikely “restoration” of “reconstruction” has been used for saving of a great number of historic buildings by Le Duc. However the spirit of unity in style has been proposed to demolish those of buildings parts which were added to the orginal buildings. It was shown to what extent buildings of heritage have to be restored or preserved.

The significance of the “identity” in general, as one of the most important dimensions of the human life, is a commonly accepted fact. The Built Environmental identity has the same importance, not only in Iran, but also in the whole globe. In spite of its importance there is no clear definition for this issue, particularly in terms of urban forms as well as urban spaces. To achieve a clear definition for environmental identity and its application one should answer some basic questions. Different definitions for “environmental identity” will be in traduced and discussed in this essay.

Hafez, the 8th century A.D Iranian poet and mystic, certainly, is one of the most effective characters in Persian literature as well as culture. His lyric poems by which his particular mystical view to the nature is presented explain the natural elements as Gods verses. In this article this way of explaining the nature is being compared with the idea of seeing the nature as a secret phenomenon, In the Islamic world. To achieve this aim seeing the nature as verse will be deeply examined based on Hafez, s world view and poem. To consider the nature as a sign of the lover (God) is to see the existence of the "things" rather than their symbolic quality or quantity. According to Hafez the environmental aesthetics is related to nature, s existence as an embodiment of particular meaning in a particular time.

Artistic impression is the artist’s objective idea, which is rooted in the “Reality of Art”. In the traditional view, the art’s reality was independent from both “thought” and “human existence”. There fore, any piece of art, in this view, is the manifestation of the reality because art and aesthetics have Divine identity which is presented through artists in tuition. Fragmentation of the human from the world in the modern era has changed this concept competently. In modern way of thinking the separated human thought (subject) is done to understand the world (object). As a result, the modern art is related into the individualistic feelings as well as style. This has led into changing of the unity into diversity throng which the unacceptable images of the art are emerged.
