چکیده
بیان مسئله: خانۀ‌های دورۀ قاجارِ شهر تبریز از جمله آثار ارزشمندی هستند که بخش مهمی از بافت تاریخی را تشکیل داده‌اند؛ این خانۀ‌های تاریخی با معماری ویژه، تفاوت‌های شکلی با خانۀ‌های تاریخی دیگر نقاط جغرافیایی ایران دارند. بخش مهمی از کالبد خانۀ‌های مورد مطالعه ایوان بوده که تاکنون پژوهش مستقلی در مورد شاکله و آرایه‌های آنها انجام نشده است؛ براین‌اساس، مسئلۀ اساسی پژوهش حاضر گونه‌شناسی آرایه‌های معماری ایوان خانه‌های قاجاری تبریز است. 
هدف پژوهش: بررسی ویژگی‌های معماری، طبقه‌بندیِ گونه‌های متنوع آرایه‌های ایوان‌ها و جریان‌های تأثیرگذار در شکل‌گیری آنها اهداف مهم پژوهش پیشِ رو است.
روش پژوهش: روش انجام پژوهش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی بوده و در دو بخش کتابخانۀ‌ای و میدانی اطلاعات مربوط به آن گردآوری شده است؛ ابتدا از تمامی ایوان خانه‌های مورد مطالعه عکاسی، طراحی و توصیف دقیق به‌عمل آمده، پس از آن کلیه اسناد مرتبط با خانه‌های قاجاری تبریز در کنار بررسی‌های میدانی به‌منظور دستیابی به نتایج منسجم گردآوری و مطالعه شده است. 
نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که ایوان‌های مورد مطالعه با طاق‌های قوسی، ستون‌های چوبی با سرستون‌های پرکار گچی، پایه‌ستون‌های چند ضلعی سنگی و پیشانی‌هایی با گچبری‌های متنوع مزین شده‌اند. آرایه‌های به‌کار رفته، آجرکاری در نما و گچبری بوده که با تأثیرپذیری از هنر غرب، ایران باستان و هنر بومی رنگ و بوی قاجاری به آنها داده شده است. گچبری‌ سرستون‌ها با فن کُرنتی و با نقوش گیاهی در انواع برگ کنگری مشابه نمونه‌های غربی و نقوش گیاهی پیشانی با پالمت‌های چند لبی و برگ تاک برگرفته از هنر ساسانی نمایش داده شده‌اند. پایه‌ستون‌هایِ چند ضلعی، مشابه انواع رایج به‌کار رفته در منطقۀ آذربایجان به‌ویژه مساجد ستوندار چوبی دورۀ قاجار است. علاوه‌بر آن ترکیبِ فن نگینِ گچی با آینه و ایجاد گره مربع قناس در طرح‌های ترنجی، سقف و نماهای داخل ایوان‌ها را آراسته است. 23 طرح آجرکاری در انواع آبشاری (خفته ـ راسته)، گل‌انداز، هره‌چینی، دندان‌موشی، حصیری و پوزگوی، سایرِ آرایه‌های برجستۀ خانۀ‌های مورد مطالعه هستند.

چکیده English

Problem statement: The Qajar houses of Tabriz are among the most valuable heritage structures, constituting a significant part of the city’s historical context. These historical houses possess distinctive architectural features that set them apart from similar structures in other regions of Iran. A key spatial element of the houses under study is the Iwan, yet no independent study has so far been conducted on their structures and ornamental features. Accordingly, the main issue of the present study is the typology of architectural ornaments in the iwans of Qajar houses in Tabriz.
Research objective: The primary aims of this study are to examine the architectural characteristics, classify the diverse types of Iwan ornaments, and identify the artistic and cultural trends influencing their formation.
Research method: The research method is descriptive–analytical, with data collected through both library-based and field studies. Initially, all iwans of the houses under investigation were photographed, drawn, and precisely described. Subsequently, all relevant historical documents concerning Qajar houses in Tabriz, along with field observations, were collected and analyzed to produce cohesive results.
Conclusion: The results indicate that the studied Iwans feature arched vaults, wooden columns with elaborately decorated plaster capitals, polygonal stone bases, and pediments adorned with diverse plasterwork. The main ornamental techniques used are brickwork on facades and plaster decorations, imbued with a Qajar spirit through influences from Western art, ancient Persian art, and local craftsmanship. The plaster capitals exhibit Corinthian techniques with vegetal motifs such as acanthus leaves, resembling Western examples, while the vegetal motifs on pediments display multi-lobed palmettes and vine leaves inspired by Sassanian art. The polygonal column bases show similarities to common types used in the Azerbaijani region, particularly in wooden columned mosques of the Qajar period. Additionally, the combination of plaster negīn (inlay) with mirror pieces and the creation of skewed square knots in medallion (toranj) designs embellish the ceilings and interior facades of the iwans. Twenty-three brickwork patterns, including cascading (khofte–rāsteh), floral (gol-andāz), dentil (dandān-mūshi), basket-weave (hasiri), and puz-guy types, stand out as remarkable decorative features of the houses studied.
